Charity Work

Echiums looking over the cove towards Fowey

The Garden is opened under the auspices of the National  Garden Scheme http://www.ngs.org.uk who support the following charities:The Queen's Nursing Institute, Macmillan Cancer Relief, Marie Curie Cancer CAre, The Nurses' Welfare Service, Crossroads, Help the Hospices, National Trust: Gardens Fund & NGS Burseries, The Gardeners' Royal Benevolent Society, The Royal Gardeners' Orphan Fund and other Nominated charities

Some of the money raised by entrance fees into the Garden is contributed to the R.N.L.I. http://www.rnli.org.uk/  Over the years the opening of the garden has raised more than £20,000 for this charity, and in an area where people come on holiday largely to play in or around the sea this is enormously valuable to the Lifeboats which are completely voluntarily run. Also through the years a number of local charities have had the support of Headland Garden.

All proceeds from the cream teas are also given to local charities, whilst the garden is open for several charity events during the year.
